Huawei Mate 8 photos leaked: 6 FEATURES REVEALED!

Huawei’s upcoming flagship phablet, the Mate 8, will be released by the end of the week and prior to its circulation, the spotlight was attracted by a handful of leaked pictures that displayed not one, not two, but six key features that the device will most likely embody.

EMUI 4.0

We know that Huawei has been working on the next generation of its own Android-based skin, the EMUI 4.0, but no official info has been disclosed regarding it.

Still, the Emotion UI has been listed to run on a number of the firm’s devices, including the Ascend P8, the Mate7 and the Honor 6 Plus, so given that the Mate will fall into the top tier of the company’s smartphones, it comes naturally to assume that it will be powered by Google’s latest Android 6.0, skinned by the also brand new EMUI 4.0.

Dual 4G card slot

Huawei is one of the biggest China-based smartphone OEMs. So it only makes sense that its products are being promoted to resurgent markets such as India and China, where Dual-SIM capability is a much sought after feature when it comes to smartphones.

Come to think about it, the Mate 8, being a high-end phablet smartphone itself, couldn’t come with anything less than a Dual 4G card slot, making part of the elite few other phones to embodying such a feature – if not the only one.

Improved Battery

Peak performance always comes at a cost, the more powerful the smartphone, the quicker its battery drains. Some top of the class handsets even need to be charged two or three times a day, depending on the intensity of use. Huawei is trying to avoid that problem by stacking a 6,000mAh beast-battery on the back of its Mate 8, a device that embodies some stunning components – and pretty life consuming as well.

The Huawei Mate 8 will be carrying a whopping 6,000mAh battery, which could sport the company’s new battery technology, unveiled a few days back, that was capable of charging Apple’s iPhone 6S in less than 7 minutes.

Improved GPS

For those of you who are cognizant of what the acronym GPS stands for, it’s Generalized Processor Sharing. Even if you have no previous experience, you can see that the processor has something to do with that.

Long story short, the Mate 8 will embody the HiSilicon Kirin 950 processor, housing eight cores; four Cortex-A57 clocked at 2GHz and four Cortex-A72 clocked at 2.4GHz, enhancing the overall accuracy of the GPS positioning, even when the signal is relatively poor.

HD Voice capabilities

Thanks to the Unicron 950 processor, Huawei’s Mate 8 will be able to provide HD crystal clear reception during phone calls.

Independent ISP (Image Signal Processor)

While still hiding the Unicron 950 processor under the hood, Huawei has opted to use its own ISP technology on the Mate 8, hoping to enhance the night and backlit capabilities of the phone’s camera.

The IPS is predominantly responsible for a process called demosaicing, during which it guesses the colour for a pixel based on what’s next to it, since your camera’s CMOS doesn’t sense red green and blue for each pixel -it senses one colour for each.
