Jide, the core developers behind the Remix OS, has rolled out Remix OS 3.0 for Google Pixel C and Nexus 9 tablets. This enables users to experience the multi-window support well ahead of Android 7.0 Nougat, which is rumored to launch on August 5.
Based on Google’s Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the Remix OS 3.0 features a wide range of improvements including new features to enable users to experience the desktop rich environment. If you are a gamer, Jide also developed an experimental “Gaming Toolkit”, which enables you to map controls from games from within the Remix OS.
Initially launched as a version for a community, Remix OS eliminated the boundaries between mobile and PC. The Remix OS gives access to over 2 million Android apps and games. The majority of apps are available free of cost and can be easily installed just like you do via Google Play Store.
The main advantage of Remix OS Android platform is the simplicity to choose the specific apps as per the habits, taste, aspirations, and preferences of the user.
Nexus 9 Specifications
Nexus 9 was released under HTC brand. On the specifications front, the Nexus 9 features an 8.9-inch (1536 x 2048) IPS Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protected the display, a 2.3GHz Nvidia Tegra K1 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB/32GB internal storage, 8MP rear camera coupled with a 1.6MP front-facing snapper. The device ships with a massive 6700mAh battery, which has the capability to deliver up to 9 hours of talk time.

The Google Pixel C tablet ship with a 10.2-inch In-cell display with a 500 nits brightness, Nvidia Tegra XI 64-bit processor, 256-core Maxwell graphics, 3 GB RAM, 32GB/64GB internal storage, 34.2Wh battery loaded with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The tablet also comes with a keyboard with adjustable screen angle from 100 to 135-degree. You can charge the keyboard directly from the tablet without connecting to an AC power source. The keyboard is manufactured using anodized aluminum.
Remix OS is available for PC, Mini computers and tablets. Available in both 32-bit and 64-bit computers, you need 2GB RAM and 8GB disk space to install Remix OS.
