Facebook adds ‘celebrating Back to the Future’ feeling for the movie’s 30th anniversary

PALO ALTO, CA- Facebook (NASDAQ: FB) The social networking giant has added a ‘celebrating Back to the Future’ feeling as part of the movies 30th anniversary.

Back to the Future is a comic science fiction film that has managed to include itself in the most favorable films of all time, since it was offering a quite ambitious point of view regarding the innovations that would come to life in the future, which is supposed to be today.

The movie’s list of futuristic gadgets included a hoverboard, 3D movies, fingerprint technology, shoes that tie themselves, video chatting and much more. All the aforementioned have been achieved today, with 3D movies, video chatting and fingerprint tech being a part of our routine for quite some time now, Lexus most recently developing the first hoverboard, while Nike released the respective shoes a few months ago.

To honor this legendary movie, Facebook has integrated a Back to the Future icon into the update status box. When the user clicks on the icon, a ‘celebrating Back to the Future’ feeling pops up. After that, the icon does not show up again though the particular feeling can be found in the Celebrating section.
