CUPERTINO, CA- Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) The consumer electronics giant has ceased the downgrading procedure from iOS 9 to iOS 8.

Try typing “once you go” in Google’s search bar and check the results. The best of them are “once you go black you never come back” and “once you go mac you never go back”. Now it’s time to add this title in the list as once a user has upgraded to iOS 9 or higher, he cannot downgrade to any previous iOS version like iOS 8.4.1 or lower anymore.

According to popular technology blog, BGR, this happens because Apple has stopped signing older iOS versions, after releasing the latest iOS 9.0.2, which means that all older version are no longer supported.

And surprisingly enough, Apple has stopped signing for iOS 9.0 as well, which makes the specific version unavailable on iTunes and forces users to opt to upgrade directly to iOS 9.0.2.

Users who deal with issues when upgrading – such as bugs, or having a hard time getting used to the new modification – usually choose to downgrade to their previous version. And Apple used to allow that so far. But only a couple of weeks after the official release of the iOS 9 and the Cupertino giant has suddenly stopped signing all other versions except iOS 9.0.2.

The latest update carried with it some bug fixes concerning a screen unlock vulnerability and some new features, a number of which have been long waited by Apple users, such as the Split View and the Side View.

But still none of the above gives an adequate explanation to the tech giant’s strategy against its operating system. We can only hope that soon enough things will improve for all Apple users as on top of all the above, communities such as TaiG and Pangu are having a hard time jailbreaking the new iOS 9.0.2, leaving all iPhone and iPad customers empty handed for the time being.
