Alcatel continues its streak at MWC

Alcatel made a surprising entry at the MWC 2017. When the users were expecting some more from the company, it came to notice that the company is interested only in mid-range and low-range smartphones. And to maintain this consistency, the company has launched another smartphone to add to the list of budget smartphones. The company has now launched the Alcatel U5 smartphone at the MWC 2017 event. Let us have a look at the specs of the smartphone.

The new Alcatel U5 sports a 5-inch full HD display and a pixel ratio of 480 x 845. The phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Speaking of the processor, the smartphone is powered by a quad-core MT6737M 1.1 GHz Cortex-A53 processor along with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB internal memory. This memory can be further expanded to 32 GB via MicroSD card.

Moving towards the connectivity part, the new Alcatel U5 features 4G, 3G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and FM as well. Speaking of the imaging duties, the new Alcatel U5 has 5 MP of rear camera along with LED flash and ability to record videos at 720p. The front camera is of 2 MP for selfies. The phone comes with a 2,050mAh battery as well.

Well, this seems to be the most cost-effective smartphone of the MWC 2017. The low camera and RAM as well as the absence of many advanced features will hamper the sale of the smartphone. The phone will be within a budget of 5K.
