Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro gets a FINGERPRINT SENSOR

Xiaomi, the Chinese start-up that has noted tremendous success throughout the las few quarters, is about to present its new phablet, the Redmi Note 2 Pro, on November 24.

The same handset was exhibited in TENAA recently (the telecommunications equipment certification centre in China).

The news spread rapidly, when an image was posted by Xiaomi president, Lin Bin, on the social networking site Weibo.

The device – as well as the rest of the Redmi Note family – stands out for its impressive features that come at a pretty affordable price.

Rumour has it that this will not be the only device that will be presented, as the company seems to be ready to present its new flagship as well, the Mi 5.

The aforementioned image shows a gold colour smartphone with a fingerprint sensor on the back. The description fits other pictures that have surfaced so far.

According to the TENAA, the Redmi Note 2 Pro will have a 5.5-inch 1080p touchscreen display, powered by MediaTek’s MT6795 (Helio X10) chipset and will offer 16GB of internal storage. In addition to the above, we expect to see a 3,060mAh battery and a 13MP rear shooter while the front part will come with a 5MP one.

Furthermore, the device will run with Google’s Android but it will be skinned with MIUI as have all other Xiaomi phones so far. So for the RAM, it is supposed to arrive in two variants, one with 2GB RAM and the other with 3GB. The first one is likely to be priced at 1,099 yuan, and the other priced at 1,499 yuan accordingly.

That’s all that we know, so no official word has come to our attention about whether the Chinese start-up tech firm will also present its Mi 5.

In any case, we’re only four days away, so brace yourselves and stay tuned to read any further news on this and many other hot topics.
