Microsoft Xbox One now available at reduced price on

You can get the Xbox One just at $249. Microsoft has announced this as a part of the “Sweet summer savings” to increase the sales of its gaming console. The offer is only available in the USA at the moment.

The 500 GB variant of Xbox One Console with Name Your Game Bundle is now selling at $249 on the Amazon’s US website. It’s competitor, the Sony PlayStation 4, is sold at $339 for the 500 GB model. With the new discounted price, you can get the Xbox One almost $90 cheaper.

From July 5 to July 11, Microsoft was celebrating the “Ultimate Summer Sale”. During the time of the sale, more than 250 Xbox games titles were sold at 40 percent to 60 percent discounts. PC games for Windows 10 also featured in the sale. The Xbox One gaming consoles were also sold at special prices.

The latest sale will last till the stocks clear. The special pricing also includes the Ultimate Edition bundle of Gears of War. The white Xbox One comes with the Special Edition bundle of Quantum Break. The consoles also include the Name your Game, where you can get the full version of any one of four super hit games – Rise of the Tomb Raider, Forza Motorsport 6, Rare Replay or the Ultimate Edition of Gears of War.

Microsoft unveiled the Xbox One in the year 2014 on the month of May. It is the third addition to the company’s gaming consoles line-up. AMD’s Jaguar APU (Accelerated Processing Unit) powers the Xbox One. It contains eight cores with two modules of four x86-64 cores each clocked at 1.75 GHz. The x86-64 architecture makes the console compatible with all of the 16 bit, 32 bit and 64-bit sets of instructions.

The Xbox One comes with 8 GB of DDR3 RAM. The RAM features a memory bandwidth of 68.3 GB/s. A 32 MB embedded static RAM having a memory bandwidth of 109 GB/s is also included. A 3 GB of the total RAM is used by the Operating system. The rest 5 GB RAM is dedicated to games. The GPU of the Xbox One is custom made by AMD. It has 12 compute cores with contains total 768 cores. All the cores run at 853 MHz resulting a peak performance of 1.31 TFLOPS.

Microsoft’s gaming console supports 4K 2160P displays. It also has 7.1 channel surround sound output capability. The Xbox one has 802.11n WiFi and Gigabit Ethernet for connectivity.
