Microsoft Surface Phone release date: Smartphone launching by 2016 end

A leaked photograph has suggested that Microsoft may launch a brand new Surface Phone towards the end of this year.

The smartphone world is being dominated by the Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android for a considerable period of time. Microsoft had made several attempts to break into the smartphone industry with its Windows smartphones but failed to acquire a respectable share.

The company which dominates the desktop market is not ready to give up trying. Latest rumors suggest that Microsoft may be gearing up to launch a brand new Surface Phone by the end of this year.

Microsoft Surface Phone surely does not receive as much hype as the upcoming Apple iPhone 7, but that doesn’t make the device less desirable. Now after a leaked photograph has emerged speculating that the device is being developed, there is a lot of reasons to be excited because of the presumed spec sheet of the next Windows Phone.

The upcoming Surface smartphone is expected to have 8 GB of RAM on board along with a massive 512 GB of inbuilt storage, making it more of a personal computer than a handheld phone. The device is also speculated to feature an optional physical QWERTY keyboard complete with a kickstand. These are just rumors at the moment and we would advise you to take all these with a grain of salt.

The photograph which has leaked was uploaded by an Indian software developer to his Twitter account. In the image, we can see a wall where Microsoft lists it’s already released and scheduled to be released devices of the year 2016 and 2017. There, one slot is seen representing an undisclosed product scheduled to be launched in the last quarter of 2016. This coincides with the rumors claiming that Microsoft will launch a brand new Windows phone near the end of this year.
