Little-known facts about iPhone

The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus were the attraction of the century. Now that the company has entered into its tenth successful year, everybody is excited to see the new iPhone that the company is planning to launch. Well, before we move on to that topic, we have some facts that are not known by most of us. Here are those facts.

Initial iPhone never launched in India

Even though the Indian market is the largest market for the sale of smartphones, the first iPhone was never launched in India. In 2007, the iPhone went on sale in Germany, France, and the U.K.

No App Store

During the launch of the first iPhone in 2007, there were a number of features missing. Amongst those features, the app store was the main one. Yes!!! There was no app store for the initial iPhone.

Sued for naming iPhone

Apple was sued by Cisco for naming its smartphone as ‘iPhone’. Cisco filed a lawsuit in Federal District Court after Steve Jobs introduced the iPhone in 2007 in Northern California.

Sale

According to a survey in June 2016, iPhone hit the number of 1 Billion in its sales. This is almost equal to the one-seventh of the population of the world.

Retina display

Even though the iPhones are associated with a hefty cost, most of the components in used in the smartphone are cheap. The only expensive part of the iPhone is the retina display. It almost cost $43 for the Retina display.
