Lenovo releases A1000, A6000 Shot and K3 Note Music Android 5.0 Lollipop smartphones in India

INDIA- Lenovo Group Ltd., (NASDAQ: LNVGY) The computer giant has released A1000, A6000 Shot and K3 Note Music Android-powered smartphones in India.

Lenovo has been topping headlines in India over the last few days, with the announcements of three tablets last week and just today, the launch of three new exciting handsets.

The Lenovo A1000 is the company’s way of boosting its presence in the low-range market, which features remarkable demand in India.

The smartphone comes with a 4-inch WVGA (480×800) TFT-TN display, while it is powered by Spreadtrum SC7731 quad-core SoC processor clocked at 1.3GHz and Adreno Mail400 MP2 GPU, coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8 gigs of internal storage capacity, expandable via microSD card up to 32GB.

Camera wise, the primary one, located on the back, shoots at 5-megapixels, while the secondary one, located on the front, is a VGA (0.3MP) shooter.

The A1000 packs dual-SIM capability, 3G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.0. Lenovo included a 2,050 mAh battery as well, which claims it can last up to 9 hours on a single charge.

Moreover, the smartphone is powered by Google’s Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system.

The A1000 is priced at Rs. 4,999 (US$77.25) and comes in two color variants; Onyx Black and Pearl White.

Moving on to the second star of the night, the A6000 Shot, as its name suggests the handset comes with a much-improved camera over its predecessor, the A6000.

It is fitted with a 5-inch HD (720×1280) display and houses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 410 quad-core SoC clocked at 1.2GHz, clubbed with Adreno 306 GPU, 2 gigs of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage, which is expandable via microSD as well.

As aforementioned, the marquee feature of the A6000 Shot is its cameras. More precisely, a 13MP primary camera has been placed on the back, sporting auto-focus and LED flash, while a 5MP front-facing camera is flaunting on the front.

Last year’s A6000 came with an 8MP back and 2MP front camera, hence the Shot should be considered as a significant upgrade over the previous gen- camera wise at least.

In terms of connectivity, the A6000 Shot packs 4G LTE antennas, 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0.

The Lenovo A6000 Shot is priced at Rs. 9,999 (US$154.51) and is available in Onyx Black, Pearl White and Carmine Red color variants.

The Lenovo K3 Note Music is identical to last year’s K3 Note, though substantial refreshments have been implemented in terms of sound technology. According to the company itself, the K3 Note Music is the market’s first handset to boast AnyWoofer technology. It is also equipped with Dolby Atoms audio and ceramic speakers.

The K3 Note Music flaunts a 5.5-inch FHD (1920×1080) display with a 178-degree wide viewing angle. Underneeth the hood, the handset sports a MediaTek MT6752 octa-core 1.7GHz SoC processor, accompanied by Adreno Mali-T760 MP2 GPU and 2GB of RAM. Internal storage capacity is 16 gigs, expandable via microSD up to 32.

Connectivity wise, the K3 Note Music packs 4G LTE antennas, 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0, while the battery is 3,000 mAh, which is fair enough for the particular spec sheet. In addition, a 13MP and 5MP shooter has been included on the back and the front respectively.

Moreover, the handset is powered by Android 5.0 Lollipop as well, though it is a shame that it won’t come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow straight out of the box.

The Lenovo K3 Note Music edition is priced at Rs. 12,999 (US$200.87) and can be found in Pearl White, Onyx Black and Laser Yellow.

All of the three handsets will hit the shelves during the last week of October.
