Huawei Honor 8 Lite Gets New OS Update Along With March Security Patch

The Chinese smartphone manufacture launched its Huawei Honor 8 Lite earlier this year in January. The smartphone was launched with the latest Android 7.0 Nougat already installed. As a matter of fact, the company has given a new update to the OS now. Before we speak about the new update, let us have a look at the specs of the smartphone.

The new Huawei Honor 8 Lite phone provides a 5.2-inch screen with full HD IPS display along with a 69.5% of screen to body ratio. The screen also has a pixel ratio of 1080 x 1920. The screen has a protection of Gorilla Glass as well as a pixel density of 424 ppi. The phone is fueled by a HiSilicon Kirin 655 processor coupled with 3 GB RAM and a GPU of Mali-T830MP2. The phone also has 16 GB internal memory that can be expanded to 256 GB via Micro SD card.

In the camera section, the rear camera is of 12 MP power with f/2.0 aperture, autofocus, and LED flash. The new Honor 8 Lite smartphone has 8 MP of front camera for proper selfies with f/2.0 aperture and ability to record video in 1080p. The phone is supported by 3,000mAh battery that is capable of giving 310 hours of standby time, 21 hours of talktime and 67 hours of music play time. The device currently runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. In terms of connectivity, the phone offers 4G, Bluetooth, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, 3G, FM and GPS.

Launched in China, the phone is currently priced for CNY 1399 (Rs 10,690). It comes in 3 color variants—black, gold, and white.

Well, the company has given the new Android 7.1.1 update to the Huawei Honor 8 Lite smartphone. Along with this, the company claims that it has also provided the March security update. Well, good time for Huawei Honor 8 Lite users has come!!!
