Apple is gearing up to launch its new range of iPhones next month. From numerous leaks and speculations, we can almost be sure that a larger iPhone with dual camera lenses is coming this year. The bigger iPhone 7 Plus sporting the double camera set-up is being predicted to have availability issues.
Reports by industry analysts speculate that Apple will only be able to provide one-third of the total demand at the time of launch. This is presumed to occur due to acute supply problems of the dual camera modules. The company’s suppliers are not in a condition to cater the huge demand for the new generation iPhone.
Since the time Apple first launched a bigger variant of the iPhone, it has equipped it with superior camera capabilities. This time also, the larger model will feature upgraded camera hardware in comparison to the normal sized iPhone.
The iPhone 7 Plus or Pro will sport a dual camera arrangement for DSLR-like shooting capacities. Apple’s dual camera technology will be unique from other market players. The company is expected to implement an advanced method based on a camera technology developed by LinX Imaging. In 2015, Apple acquired LinX. The smaller iPhone 7 will also feature an upgraded camera hardware, although it will still be the conventional single lens unit.
Apple iPhone 7 Plus Specs: 5.5-inch display, A10 SoC
This year’s iPhone 7 will feature the same 4.7-inch display size of the present iPhone 6S. The larger iPhone will sport a 5.5-inch display similar to its predecessor. The next generation iPhones will come with little changes in the cosmetics department. They will feature an identical design with a bit decreased thickness and changes in the placement of antenna lines. The antenna lines will run along the edges in the iPhone 7 series instead of running right across the back.
A brand new more powerful A10 SoC will power the latest handsets. The chip is custom designed by Apple and manufactured by TSMC. The upcoming smartphone will come with an upgraded 4G modem with enhanced speed. The new iPhone is expected to ditch the traditional 3.5mm headphone port altogether, with the lightning port used for audio output. Shredding of the audio port will possibly enhance the water resistivity of the upcoming device.
Apple iPhone 7 Plus Release Date
There are speculations that Apple will upgrade the storage capacity of the base variants from 16GB to 32GB. A 256GB iPhone is also rumored. The brand new iPhones will be unveiled on September 9th and will be available for purchase one week later.
