Yahoo Serving US Government by Scanning Users Email Accounts

In recent years, Yahoo was confidentially building software which can scan all emails of the accounts user. It came under into observation when the news came out when three former yahoo employees revealed about the code written on demand by U.S government.

Surveillance authority said this was the first such case where a U.S internet company agreeing to government intelligence request by scanning all arrived messages.

However, it is not clear that what information have yahoo submitted to government intelligence agency.

Later on after the talk with some social media giants, Apple spokesperson said “We have never received a request of this type, and if we were to receive one, we would oppose it in court.” Finally, I want to be totally apparent that we have never worked with any government agency from any nation to construct a backdoor in any of our products or services. We have also never permitted access to our servers. And we never will.

On Tuesday, Facebook, Google, Microsoft individually said that they have never conducted such email scan search rather didn’t receive any kind of request. They said “if we decide to respond the straight answer will be no”

Twitter also said it has never received such a request.

On the base of yahoo in plan to sell its business to Verizon at cost of $4.8 billion, the revelation occurs  at sensitive period about the state hackers accessed million of accounts in 2014.
