Vivo V5s Selfie-centric smartphone to be launched in India today

The Chinese multinational technology company, Vivo, is all set to introduce the brand new member in its V5 series. In the previous year, the company had launched Vivo V5 and earlier this year, it has launched the V5 Plus. And now, according to the invites sent last week by the company, it is looking forward to reveal its Vivo V5s smartphone today, i.e., April 27, in India. Similar to the earlier models, even Vivo V5s will be rolled out as a selfie-focused smartphone.

The specifications and design elements of the Vivo V5s is supposedly going to be the same as that of V5. The new smartphone is specified to have a metal unibody design along with a 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass above the 5.5-inch HD display. The Vivo V5s is advertised to feature the same MT6750 chipset along with RAM of 4GB under the hood similar to the Vivo V5.

To be rolled out with hashtag #PerfectSelfie, the new smartphone will be revealed spotlighting its front camera. The smartphone’s front camera is said to feature a 20 MP Sony IMX376 sensor with LED flash and f/2.0 aperture. On the rear side, the Vivo V5s is said to present a 13 MP camera with a f/2.2 aperture and PDAF. The smartphone is powered with a battery of 3,000mAh. The handset weighs 154 grams and measures 153.8 × 75.5 × 7.55mm. The dual SIM handset is provided with an internal storage of 64GB that can be expanded up to 128GB through the MicroSD card slot.

The smartphone has connectivity alternatives such as Wi-Fi, 3.5mm port, Bluetooth, a Micro-USB 2.0 port, GPS, and 4G LTE. The Vivo V5s is said to operate on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow dependent on FunTouch OS 2.6. The cost of the new selfie-centered smartphone can be Rs 18,990. As per the invite, the smartphone will be obtainable in the Matte Black color option. Rose Gold, Gold, and Space Grey color variants are also listed by the retailer OnlyMobiles.

Recently, Vivo has also rolled out a unique Limited Edition of Vivo V5 Plus IPL in Matte Black. The features of this edition will be same as the Vivo V5 Plus with the only addition of an IPL impression on the rear panel.
