If you would like to buy the new Samsung Galaxy superphone, this is the right time. This is because if you buy a new Galaxy device on T-Mobile, you will be eligible to get a second device for free from Un-carrier. However, this offer is applicable only on August 6 at T-Mobile retail stores across the US including online (t-mobile.com) purchases.
Touted as the weekend galaxy deal, if you buy Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6 edge+, and Galaxy Note 5, you will be eligible to get a second smartphone of equal or lesser value for free.
However, this offer is applicable only if you purchase the Samsung Galaxy superphone with T-Mobile’s Equipment Installment Plan (EIP), and add a line of service.
According to a statement released by T-Mobile, customers will get credit on their monthly bill over the 2-year EIP term. It will be for the full amount of the second device after accounting for any down payment, which will also be credited by the mobile company.
Interestingly, the newly released Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is not in this list. Hence, if you pre-order Note 7, you will not be eligible to get an additional Galaxy superphone. You can expect the addition of Note 7 to the freebies list next year after the launch of Samsung Galaxy Note 8. However, the August 6 deal includes Galaxy Note 5, which provides S-pen.
With the recent launch of the Galaxy Note 7, both Samsung and T-Mobile are working hard to boost the sales of all the previous generation Samsung Galaxy superphone devices.
If you look at the specifications of all the Galaxy superphones included in today’s deal offer, all of them possess advanced specifications. Moreover, all the devices include a premium high-resolution display. Hence, the deal is a sure victory.
It remains to be seen how many customers would be prepared to buy the device along with T-Mobile’s Equipment Installment Plan. We feel that forcing customers to buy packages along with mobile device is not in good spirit. The deal will be useful if you are willing to continue with T-Mobile for another 2 years.
