Razer and Lenovo team up to bring new gaming systems

Razer has been leading the hard-core gaming community for quite some time now, with high-end accessories, mouse pads and keyboards that offer the best and most accurate features.

Lenovo, on the other hand, has established a strong presence as the top PC maker in the world.

Have you ever wondered what would occur, if those two companies ever decided to team up?

Luckily, we don’t need to keep wondering, as both firms have agreed to bring their powers together, to enhance, co-brand and co-market Lenovo’s Y-series gaming systems with the gaming expertise and software solutions of Razer.

Victor Rios, vice president and general manager, Workstation BU, Gaming and Industry Solutions, Lenovo commented on the collaboration:

“We are thrilled to partner with Razer and bring out the best from both companies to deliver a better, more immersive gaming experience for customers. While we bring to the table our engineering expertise, design muscle and scale, Razer adds in the finesse and experience of serving the gaming community for the last decade. We believe our partnership is a strong first step that will lead to the delivery of winning PC gaming solutions and a brand new experience to our customers.”

Lenovo has been into gaming systems for quite some time, but the company lacks the kind of models than you can get from boutique builders. Hopefully, Razer will help change that, given that the latter’s fans will dig the new products.

Razer Co-Founder and CEO Min-Liang Tan said:

“This agreement opens opportunities to advance the gaming lifestyle through world-class product in unprecedented ways. Lenovo is the world’s #1 PC maker. Razer is the world’s #1 gaming lifestyle brand. Together we have the passion, insight and operational capabilities to delight and empower the PC gaming community worldwide.”

DreamHack Winter 2015 revealed the very first Lenovo Razer Edition gaming desktop. However, systems will officially launch at CES 2016, next month.

The collaboration of the two companies is expected to give birth to new designs, product lines and cross-channel opportunities, but further details are expected to be disclosed at the Consumer Electronics Show, which is scheduled to take place January 6-9 in Las Vegas.
