There have been consistent complaints by the owners of Microsoft’s Surface Pro 3 about the tablet’s miserable battery issues. The device suffers rapid battery drainage at random moments. Microsoft has just announced that the annoying problem can be solved just by a software update. The company assured that the update is ready and being tested internally before its public release.

Many Surface Pro 3 buyers, impatient by the persisting issue were forced to get a replacement device by paying a hefty amount of $450. Even though the company acknowledged the problem officially, it has not yet spoken out about any possible compensation to the people who did not wait and got their tablet replaced.
