Apple’s iOS 9 update crashes devices

CUPERTINO, CA- Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) Various reports have been surfacing the past few hours claiming that iOS 9 causes devices to crash.

A new glitch has been added to the already long list of launching glitches that Apple’s operating systems cause. This one comes with the company’s latest operating system, the iOS 9. Numerous users have reported a vast variety of issues that occurred while updating. Apple has not issued any comment on the problem so far.

A spokesman of the company in Sydney confirmed it as well. And to be honest, perhaps at this point it is probably wiser to remain silent as the dissatisfied customers can sometimes exhibit unpredictable behaviours.

But to let the users talk for themselves, student Pip Cordi said as staff in the Apple store in central Sydney looked at her phone on Friday:

“It is beyond inconvenient to not be able to use your phone for a day,

…I have a lot of apps that I use for school – things like language apps and dictionaries and that’s all really important for my studies.”

Zorry Coates, another Apple consumer, was finally given the option to either return her iPhone to the factory settings – losing all non-backed up files – or wait until the company circulates an appropriate update to fix the problem.  And to make things worse, these options were given to her after three hours spent at the local Apple store with no true result.

Zorry says:

“They said they were aware of the problem and their engineers were working on it 24/7, but they couldn’t tell me when – or how – I would get a solution,

…I’m very annoyed because it’s wasted half my day. They pride themselves on being a company that’s flawless.”

The list of problems does not end here. Some users who attempted to upgrade to iOS 9 faced a “Software Update Failed” error, while many of them were requested to start over the process for no reason.

Charlie Brown, a technology expert at Sydney-based Cybershack, mentioning the same awkward glitch users experienced with the iOS 8, stated that in the era of social media the number of disappointed customers can only keep growing if Apple doesn’t act fast enough.

“The risk to Apple in terms of having dissatisfied customers is that as their customer base grows, so will the number of those dissatisfied customers,”

With Apple remaining silent, it is quite hard to guess when an update would be released. But until such thing happens, perhaps the rest of the users that haven’t upgraded yet should consider waiting a few more days or weeks.
