Microsoft’s Lumia 950 smartphone and 950 XL phablet announced in October, are the company’s secret cards to secure a larger fragment of the high-tier phone market.
Since they both belong to the premium tier, they consequently cost a whopping $600 and $900 premiums accordingly to obtain.
Though, today is Black Friday 2015, and Redmond follows suit by offering the smaller sibling of the series – Lumia 950 – out of charge under AT&T’s network via Amazon. The plan from there on will cost you $19.97/month for a 30-month period. The particular deal regards both the white and black color variants with 32GB of internal storage.
As far as the unlocked versions of the two handsets go, the Lumia 950 XL can be found at KileMobile Amazon shop for $888.99 (plus $14.99 shipping), saving you $45.2 at checkout.
Moreover, the Lumia 950 is available off contract for $598.99 from Amazon with free shipping and plenty of units in stock. In addition, if you place your order during the next five and a half hours, and select two-day shipping at checkout, you can have the phone at your doorstep on December 1st.
Specs wise, the phablet sports a humongous 5.7-inch display, with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels (~518 ppi pixel density), covered by the new corning Gorilla Glass 4, for ultimate scratch and shutter protection.
Underneath the hood, the 950 XL is being powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 processor housing eight cores, four clocked at 1.5GHz and the rest at 2GHz, coupled with Adreno 430 GPU.
In addition to the above, in order to accommodate the 5.7-inch display, Microsoft has equipped the smartphone with a whopping 3340 mAh battery.
The smaller Lumia 950 shares the same spec sheet with its larger brother, with the sole exception being the display, which measures at 5.2-inches.
