Micromax has unveiled the latest addition to its smartphone array today, the Canvas Xpress 4G, powered by Google’s Android 5.1 Lollipop. With that in mind, we accumulated every piece of info regarding the device’s pricing, specification sheet and availability.
The Canvas Xpress 4G comes with a rather sleek design and a spec sheet worth writing about, so, without any further ado, let’s take a closer look at the handset.
Specs and software
The Canvas Xpress 4G sports a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen IPS display running on a resolution of 720×1080 (HD) pixels.
Underneath the hood, the handset is powered by a MediaTek MT6735P processor, housing four cores each clocked at 1GHz, coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage capacity, expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.
Camera wise, the primary sensor, located on the rear, shoots at 8MP with LED flash, while the secondary one, placed on the front, shoots at 2MP with fixed-focus, which is fair enough for taking selfies.
In terms of connectivity, the Canvas Xpress 4G has been fitted with 4G LTE antennas, 3G, Dual-SIM capability, WiFI, Bluetooth v4.0, microUSB v2.0, 3.5mm headphone import, FM Radio and GPS (with A-GPS).
To accommodate the 5-inch HD display, Micromax has bumped the Canvas Xpress 4G up with a 2,000mAh battery, which is a bit questionable in terms of longevity, though that will be figured more precisely as soon as we get our hands on the smartphone.
The Canvas Xpress 4G comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop straight out of the box, with no info yet available regarding its eligibility to any further updates.

Thankfully, Micromax has shed adequate info about the smartphone’s pricing and availability during the respective press event.
